Year Third Updates

  I suppose I just completely forgot to publish this update back when I wrote it in January. Things got busy fast I guess, however that means I have plenty to update on.

  Firstly, I released my second EP on my Bandcamp earlier this month, you can listen to it here. It's better recorded than my first one, and I'm already thinking about what to do next, so stay tuned!

  I'm slowly working towards getting my own website up and running, and when I do, it'll also host wikis for my creative projects. One extra creative project I'm going to start is "Wolfsburg Wednesays" where I describe one facet of Wolfsburg (or wider XF-verse) lore per week.

  It's also again that time of year where I remember my Youtube channel exists. I'm working on something special that I think is pretty cool. Stay tuned for that too.

  Lastly, I'm starting up either a new obsession or a new hobby: crossword puzzle design. If you like crosswords then you should check out Crosshare and maybe give me a follow :3.

Year Start Updates

  It's not even one month into the big two six and I already have a website update! In this month's edition, I have decided that my old main page actually sucks balls so it was time to change it. After a brief stint cosplaying a mondrian painting, the new main page is complete. I also make new favicons or something idk.

Year End Updates

  It hasn't been nearly as long between updated this time, however I have more updates than last time. First off, I have not finished a single other chapter of my web serials. That might be a next year project. Secondly, I did actually get around to releasing that EP by the end of the year. You can find it at my bandcamp. It's not the best, I was kinda pressed for time, but it's fine overall. I have more coming soon, probably not until February, however. Third, I made a web badge (in the classic 88x31 format), which I have placed to the right of this paragraph. It's actually secretly not from the old image mentioned two blog posts ago, but actually from a different image that I'll put when I make a spot for my photography. I also put up a little box on my home page for web badges from me and my friends.

  Speaking of photography, I recently acquired more sd cards, so now I can take plenty of pictures (the counter in my camera seems to permanently display '999' shots left), so perhaps you can expect more of those in the coming weeks and months.

  I haven't been completely off of writing, however, I've been working on a project with my friend Asta that should end up being a companion piece to their project. I just have to figure out how the hell I want to make the science work. Expect more stuff to come out soon.

We are Writing and Writing

  I've spent the last week and a bit at a camp and as such I haven't been able to keep the website up to date, but I have written tons (roughly 2.5 tons if you assume each word is one pound). The first thing I posted was the first chapter of my very first web serial, which is so far titled Varus. I am very excited to keep writing this, however don't expect an update soon as I do most of my writing late at night and I need to get my sleep schedule under control before school, as well as the fact that I'm a bit tired of writing.

  The second thing I wrote is a sort of soft space fantasy (I hesitate to call it science fiction) set on a hypothetical habitable mars. Do not expect a quick update for this one either for the same reasons as above. You can read it here in PDF format. I'm currently working on a revamped version fit for website that will include a better PDF as well as an EPUB in case you want to read it on an e-reader or in your choice of ebook viewer. This will be released when I finish chapters 3 and 4.

  I've also done a little bit of housekeeping around the site, such as adding these lovely indents to the blog site, and I'd like to outline what I plan on adding to the website in the coming weeks. Aside from continuing my web serials, I'd also like to write some more shorter works, do more writing from prompts, and perhaps write more informational pieces rather than just fiction. I also plan on actually recording the music I've been procrastinating on recording all summer. Stay tuned!

Speaking of procrastinating, I completely forgot to update my website for like the entirety of august. I even originally planned on making a song of the week, but clearly that never came to fruition. I still have the html and css for that but I will almost certainly need to rework it, and having the blog update weekly means that I'll also need to keep this website updated regularly, which I'm not sure I'm ready for yet.

  In terms of my main projects, I have continuing to work on the Mars story linked above. I will, when I finish the next chapter, upload a revised and expanded version of the first two chapters. Unfortunately, Varus, my first story I posted here, is being placed on a temporary hiatus while I figure out what I'll be doing creatively. The last major creative endeavor I'm focusing on is my music. I've begun work on an EP that I'll hopefully get around to releasing before the end of the year. Stay tuned.

The largest image by almost thirty one times

The infamous photograph

  One of the great joys of website creation is making your website look good. It's truly an art, and I do take joy in it even if HTML and CSS occasionally make me want to shower with a toaster. As you can tell by this blog page, I like putting images in the backgrounds of my pages. The home page's background photo is the Sears Tower, this page's image is of the Partnachtklamm (a gorge in Bavaria, not far from the town of Garmish-Partenkirchen), and the creative writing page's image is some flowers on a tree in my yard. It's the latter image that happens to be the offending image.

  I took the image in early may, 2023, years ago, on my father's DSLR camera, and copied it wholesale from the DCIM folder I ripped from the SD card. People who work in photography or with digital images have likely guessed my mistake by now.

  Because I didn't adjust the image at all, it remained essentially fully uncompressed and high resolution, and it was, by size on disk, 30.81 times as large as the next largest image, which caused significant delays when loading the webpage. It's like that mango from tumblr. as such, I reduced the file size and compressed the image, although, hilariously, it's still the largest of the three images.

Good Afternoon

  I stayed up way later than I wanted to last night (as evidenced by my 1:30 am update), and in my nigh-sleep state I completely forgot to mention that I plan on adding creative writing projects to this website. They will be located here once I get around to publishing stuff. On the topic of creative writing, please check out Asta's web serial!!!

Good Morning

  As I write this, it's around 1:30 in the morning. Yesterday was a day that was, generally, unproductive, despite the beginning of this project. I'm at that point in summer where I'm just tired. I don't want school to start again but also I need something to structure my time. That's, I suppose, where this comes in. I had an older version of this website up but I told my friend to delete it. It was never particularly complete. I had way too high ambitions for it. If I can find it again perhaps I'll link it here. I don't have specific plans for the summer or the fall, other than to put something together musically and work on some creative writing. I would say to stay tuned but it may be months before I touch this website again.
